Growing up dogs were always a part of Andrea’s life, there was never a
time that her family didn’t have at least one canine companion romping
around the farm. In 2002 Andrea made the decision to find a dog to
share her adult life with and after lots of research she decided on an
Australian Shepherd. On February 8, 2003 (her birthday coincidentally)
she brought home Chase, a sweet-tempered, fluffy little boy who quickly
worked his way into her heart and became a cherished part of the family.
They began a training journey that included puppy school, obedience
classes, tricks class, agility, rally-o and more. In March of 2006 a blue-
merle Aussie puppy named Peso was added to Andrea’s pack, he has proven
to be a high-spirited bundle of energy who is excelling in agility and
more. They are patiently waiting for Peso to turn 18 months to get out
and play with the big boys :) Andrea has a new addition to the family
coming home in July, a little red & white TNT border collie, Pheonix.

When Andrea started training in agility under Shona Thirsk she just
wanted to have some fun with her dog and maybe get a little exercise too.
Agility turned out to be extremely addictive and quickly became a passion
in her life which has led to her actively teaching and competing in the
sport with Chase and Owen (Shona’s “enthusiastic” Wire Fox Terrier).
She has attended seminars with Terry Simons, Susan Garrett, Kathy Keats,
and other very successful and highly respected agility handlers. Andrea’s
main goal in teaching agility is to inspire her students to continue to build
on their lifelong bond with their four legged friend through learning a
rewarding new sport. Most importantly both owner and dog need to have
tons of FUN!!!
